An Austinite for more than two decades, Melissa is a proud daughter of the South with a wide range of professional experience and unparalleled networks. A longtime Westlake resident, Melissa has participated firsthand in Austin’s real estate boom, having moved here from Atlanta with her husband, Eric, and has raised a family of three children.

Melissa is a recent human resources consultant to several area companies in the technology space. She has also worked in HR at MCI and Neiman Marcus and began her career in Marketing at The Headline Group. A native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Melissa is an alumna of Ole Miss, from which she graduated with distinction and a double major in journalism and public relations.

Melissa is an active volunteer in the community through organizations including the Junior League of Austin, Women’s Symphony League, National Charity League, Eanes ISD and Helping Hand Home. In 2011, Melissa co-chaired the Cattle Baron’s Ball, with fundraising going towards research for the American Cancer Society.

Melissa has genuine passion for creating, nurturing and sustaining lifelong relationships both personally and professionally — and is proud that those relationships have stood the test of time. She has a deep love of travel (since eloping to the South of France), loves hiking, and enjoys boating on beautiful Lake Austin.

Since buying her first home in Buckhead, Georgia, Melissa has been fascinated by residential real estate. With the dynamic growth in Austin, she is thrilled to be part of the Gottesman Residential Real Estate team.

Laurie is an Austin native and grew up in West Lake Hills. Laurie and her husband purchased first home in South Austin. After a successful negotiation and purchase in an aggressive sellers’ market, Laurie was determined to pursue a career in residential real estate. Prior to joining Leah at Gottesman Residential Real Estate, Laurie was an Associate at EQ Capital Strategies, a middle-market buy and sell-side advisory firm, working directly with the managing partners, clients and private equity firms throughout the transaction process.  Laurie also has experience in public relations and communications. She was a Senior Account Executive at Buie & Co. Public Relations for several years, and Communications Manager at Harden Healthcare, a post-acute care provider that served nearly 35,000 patients a day in 15 states across the U.S.

Laurie enjoys staying active and the outdoors with her husband and golden retriever. She also enjoys diving into home renovation projects on the weekends. Laurie is an honors graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.

Chris is a born and raised Austinite, also known in these parts as a Unicorn. He was born to a family that has called Austin home for the last 6 generations. Raised primary in Central and West Austin, Chris, Leah, Walker, and Hughes have re-settled back into the Westlake neighborhood in 2018.

After attending Westlake High School, and the McCombs Business School at the University of Texas he began his career with Dell Inc. in 1991. His roles consisted primarily in sales, marketing, business acquisition and partner development. Following more than a decade in the technology industry he ran a small manufacturing company which served the Oil/Gas, Defense, and Industrial Manufacturing markets from 2005 to 2015. Lastly, he served as President of a new to market consumer product for 3 years helping guide its path to market.

Chris is proud to join Leah’s office at Gottesman Residential in a formal capacity this year.

He has assisted her as she grew her business in the Austin residential market over the last 12 years, and is excited to see what the future brings in this vibrant, growing city. His personal and business roots in Austin have been a welcome source of information for many of our clients looking to relocate personally and professionally to Texas.

Growing up in Austin, he was raised on and around the water. The outdoors serves as Chris’ recharge zone, and he tries to get out there as often as possible. He can be found fishing the shallow water on the Texas Coast, the clear streams of Colorado, or powering around Lake Austin with his wife and two boys. He is a life-long golfer, a lover of dogs, an aspiring cook, and isn’t scared of a good road trip.
